Last year, I finished studying General Horticulture at the Epping Annex of Ryde College of Technical and Further Education, Sydney, Australia. My original intention was to continue in that area, but I got bitten by botany and biodiversity bugs.
At the Epping Annex, Winter 2006.
The course was broad in its coverage, including plant identification, the control and treatment of weeds, soil analysis, garden design, pests and diseases, growing crops, pruning and planting trees and shrubs, and propagation.
I was delighted to receive the Merit Award for Outstanding Graduate in my course. Something nice and shiny to put on my resume!
August 2006: an apple tree planting practical at
John Galbraith's orchid, Pine Crest, Bilpin.
John is one of the teachers in our course.
